Child Care of Southwest Florida Professional Development Center has been licensed by the Commission of Independent Education and approved by the Department of Children and Families to offer the Florida Child Care Professional Credential course.
We partner with families, child care professionals and the business community to prepare children to enter school ready to learn and to achieve school success. All CCSWFL instructors are highly qualified in early childhood and meet stringent criteria established by the state. Class discussion, assignments, field trips, and hands on activities are included in the course.
The instructors are available for assistance and support if needed and perform Formal Observations before classes are completed. Child Care of Southwest Florida, with the sponsorship of the Department of Children and Families, provides the child care mandated training for child care personnel and family child care home providers. The Child Care Food Program (CCFP) is a Child Nutrition Program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Services and Administered by The Department of Health, Bureau of Child Nutrition Programs.
For thirty years, CCSWFL has implemented the USDA Child Care Food Program. The program goal is to educate providers and parents on healthy eating habits and food safety as well as providing nutritious meals to children. A Child Care Food program specialist will be happy to help you establish the child care food program and assist you in completing the required paperwork, and answer your questions.
