Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the son of Italian immigrants, Leonardo once considered becoming an artist. Instead, his attention and talent turned toward perfecting the art of hair design. Art never left him, it simply continues to instruct his instinct. Women become his canvas and point of inspiration for his innate gift. Leonardo appears never to depart from certain canons of beauty and aesthetics which, given his european background, confronts with sincere eyes an american reality that never escapes him. Ever refining his skills while implementing techniques and principles of the “Rinascimento Italiano” like Chiaroscuro, Da Vinci’s Canon of Proportions, etc. to his work, all principles that guide his eyes and hands still today.
